you do relize that everyone post of these funny but not usefull to you idea are a sign that maybe your question was alittle "out there" I wil be honest the last thing I want while skiing when skiing is for people to feel threaten by me. Thats one of the reasons I really dont like my full face for just cruisen around, people think I am some sort of freak.

I am another smith clone that a really popular choice here whether or not they are your style is beyond me though.
Clone or not they make some of the most durable, least foggy goggle out there. I think they look good to but that wasnt on my mind while buying them.

Out there or not, where else would I ask such a question? With such a large body of members, someone has seen what I am looking for.

Lets face it, while for yourself appearance may not matter, and I must respectfully contest this since I do not think you ski in neon any longer and by opting to not to use your full-face helmet because of the way others may perceive you is admission that appearance does in fact matter to you, more so, it is important to you what others may think of you as a result of your ski wardrobe selection.

To most appearance is important, otherwise companies would do away with art and design departments. We all have our own unique style; I like aggressive looking gear. That being said I will not sacrifice function for form. I won't buy something just because it looks good; it also has to work well. Appearance of all things , in general, do matter even to super-pros, if it didn't, ski tests in magazines would not make an effort to cover graphics on skis, citing that they tend to sway testers ratings.

But thanks for the suggestion I will look into them.

Guess I'm just a freaky guy with full armor and a full face helmet.

Quite frankly, that moto helmet looks like a neck snapper and prollaly' wouldn't even be allowed on any USSA/FIS course.

"...looks like a neck snapper..." That's an aggressive look! Look bad and go fast.

Ski in such a way that your outfit doesn't matter.

These bulbous mirrors look silly. The orange flat lens look more serious and we can see the danger in your eyes.

I'd get the leather Oakleys. No kidding.

tattoo 'get the f__ out-da-way!' backwards on your eyelids

clear lens dime store frame

done deal

As much as I hate to admitt I don't think it's such a dumb question.

I like aggressive looking gear as well.

At least I look fast on the bunny hill.

but I like the look of these, for some reason I think of Darth Vader from the pronounce protruding bottom of the goggles.

these are fast looking

POC is straight up hard core fast stuff

These look out there

motocycle helmet? seriousally might be unsafe as yuki aluded too. Weight and a chin guard thats not even covering your chin, and is just further out putting more leverage on you neck. IF you want a full face there are bunch of skiing/mountain bike ful face thats will weight less, vent better, and will actually prtect your chin with out sticking 6 inches out past your chin waiting to catch snow and break you neck.
I'm going to have to say that I'd imagine, based on what I know from the difference in construction of a motorcycle helmet and ski helmet, as well as the basic physics of a collision, its probably more dangerous to wear that helmet then it would be to not wear anything at all.

As to the original question of the thread, what's the point in how aggressive a goggle looks if it doesn't perform well? I don't see what the point of an "aggressive" goggle is, or how a goggle can even look aggressive, but I prefer the Oakley A-Frame series.

I'd rather look good going down the hill than at the lift.

Unless I'm mistaken, the helmet in question is a ski specific helmet made by Salomon not too long ago...
Yeah, that's definitely a salomon SKI helmet. It's also a nice picture of the Spruce Peak base area at Stowe.

You like technology, right? Check out the Zeal Optics Dominator PPX Spherical, it's photo chromatic and polarized....sweet.

Get the goggle that fits the best and has the right lens tint for you. Improve the agressiveness of the ensmble by wrapping a few turns of barbed wire around your helmet.
