Premature season end

This has been one of the best seasons I've ever had (been skiing for six years) because I got the oppurtunity to teach this year and spent a lot of time skiing with instructors so I've progressed more this season than I did my first season. However, things took a turn for the worst last friday when I was skiing after ski-school-close with two friends, one of whom fell in front me. I was less than attentive at that instant and tripped over his skis, double-releasing (it would be accurate to say we were cooking), and hitting the ground left-shoulder first. Initially it hurt too much to get up but that went away fast so I sat up, while my friends set skis up in an "X" above me. Much to my embarassment, when they called the snowmobile up to get me, the ski school director, my boss, was driving. After the customary ribbing from my boss, impromptu slinging, X-rays at the ER, a few days to let the swelling go down, and a trip to a specialist I was happy to hear nothing was broken, however one of the ligaments in my shoulders was severly ripped. It doesn't require surgery, just lots of time, but my ski season and my first ski related job are both done for the year. Ahhhh welll, Could have been worse.

BTW LeeL, I guess I won't get to try Tele 'til next winter, but still, thanks for the boots.

Anyways, just wanted to write a bit, don't let it get you down if you still have snow, I wouldn't if I were the one still skiing.

aw nuts!! I was going to tell you I had sent the boots but was going to leave it as a surprise. Well at least doing some tours will be easy on the shoulder for conditioning. Best of luck
