I hope it's not true, but Accuweather winter forecast expects this winter to be similar to that of 98-99. In that winter there were big October storms followed by much less than average snow until late January. However, NOAA long range forecast calls for at least normal snowfall Nov- Jan. I've got 2 trips in Dec. so I'm voting for NOAA forecast. Let's hope it's right. The first 2 weeks of November are grim however. Don't see how Utah areas will be able to meet scheduled opening dates. By the way, I would be very happy to hear how Accuweather is wrong.
