Finally figured out how to load pictures.
I live in a small apartment, and I've been tuning in my kitchen. It was so nice today so I took them outside.
That's how I filed the side edge. I don't do the base edge. If the base edges need attention, I'll get them stone ground.
The next picture is how I finished the job with diamond stones. Stones don't need as much pressure as the file, and the work goes faster with the skis side by side because I don’t need change the stones from the side guide to the base guide as often.
I like using the Workmate, so maybe next time I’ll clamp the tail in it vertically and rest the other end on the rail. That should be a little more secure than resting the ski on the two rails.
Not quite a race quality tune, but plenty good for off piste skis.
