Boot choices...

So, there's a ski swap this weekend. I've got 3 pairs of skis now, but still no boots. (last year's boots were part of a lease and stuff) I was looking at some new tecnica "enteryx"'s that I kind of liked for $150, new. I don't have hundreds and hundreds to spend on boots; that money goes into my cars. I'd like to get into racing this year. Are these boots alright? I just don't really want to spend $150 on some boots...there were some awesome salomon's for 20 bucks, used, but they were just a tad too small for me. Rather buy some cheapo used half decent boots at a ski swap, outgrow them soon enough, and then throw them out, give them away, etc, than buy some new boots and outgrow them in a year or two.

Anyone here will tell you that boots are the most important piece of equipment that you can buy. If you are on a budget I would recommend selling a pair of the skis to free up some extra cash for better boots. Having 3 pairs does not do you any good if you can't get good boots. If you are wanting to get into racing, then you definitely need good boots. Make sure you take the time to have someone who knows what they are doing take a look at your feet. They can give you at least a push in the right direction.
