I have a vertical to drive ratio of (1200 vertical feet / 35 minutes) = 34.29
What is your vertical to drive ratio?
my resort is like 80 miles from my city , takes usually 1.5 hours , i go early in the morning 8:00 am , im there 9:30 getting ready for elevator which is on 10:00 am , and after 17:00 getting ready to drive home , damn i love it !
Well let's see now, live in upper valley NH;
30 min to home mtn. Okemo
20 min to Mt. Sunapee
40 min to Pats Peak
40 min to Magic Mt.
1 hr to Killington/Pico
1 hr to Stratton
1.5 to Stowe/Sugarbush or MRG
and generally no more than 2 hrs to any of the finest skiing in New England.
Sure beats the 6 hr drive to Snowshoe or 7 Springs when I lived in VA!
Come on winter!!
Some work required.
edit: this is sort of a BS vert figure in the way Killington's is, or Park City's, etc. Not many places like Snowbird with 3000+ feet you can lap.
|It's really the vertical on what you'd want to "lap" that counts.|
