Instant cure.

For the record, it wasn't a class.  It was a friend from work that a few of us were coaching after beer league.  Nothing motivates a young lady to stand tall while skiing like knowing three middle aged men are staring at her butt.

She's probably told all her friends about you...and not in a positive fashion.  I have a daughter who gets a lot of comments from a few of my older ski buddies.  I can assure you her comments to me are NOT flattering about them.

From backcountry guru Lars Larsen: "Don't let being lost take the fun out of not knowing where you are." Has lots of applications.

Don't ski faster than you want to fall

Tourist to a local in Banff: "How much does that mountain weigh?". True story.

"There is too much snow here..."  said no one ever except the Texan gapers at Wolf Creek.

One of my favorite quotes (besides the one that Philpug posted from Masters Racer) comes from Bob Barnes:

There are two kinds of conditions; good and good for you.

Wanted to bump again (Throwback Thursday?) to acknowledge the passing of a dear friend and colleague, Patricia Ganter, who, along with her husband Jim, founded the now defunct northwest Michigan ski area called SugarLoaf. Her favorite saying: "If you don't ski the bad days, you don't deserve to ski the good days."

Sorry for your loss Kneale. I have fond memories of Sugarloaf. I had a friend whose parents had a condo in Sutton's Bay, we made numerous trips up there to ski at Sugarloaf.

"Half the binding, twice the Man!".

These guys make it look easy.     My favorite quote?  "When you're over the hill..... you pick up speed".

A few jokers on a lift yelled down to my buddy who was fidgiting with his GoPro camera... "If you want to Go Pro, you gotta Go, Bro!" You could hear them laughing all the way up the mountain.

Still cracks me up today.

My favorite one I heard someone say is "My skiing is comparable to a cat being thrown out a window. I'll flail like mad and look terrible, but always land on my feet"

The site xtranormal was bought by a company that shut it down.  People who knew it was happening transferred their movies to youtube, but we didn't know and ours is lost.

^^^That sucks!  Lots of people are pretty dependent on YouTube, Instagram, and other cloud severs that we get basically free.  I've wondered how bad it would suck for one of the big ones to go bust like that.  Kids that only have phones for their internet and storage device would really be screwed with no back ups elsewhere if/when something like that happens..

Apparently now being reinvented by the self styled "world's most extreme CEO" as a core/bling snowboard resort. While launching Las Vegas Air.

Of course this could all quite possibly be in his own imagination.

The go-to bro phrase of the season: "gripped" and/or "super gripped" - as per Sage C. in TGR's upcoming Almost Ablaze.
