Favorite ski sayings and one liners

Since there was some heated discussion on the tag lines (signatures) people have been using, I thought I'd throw this topic out, to see what sort of creative one-liners people have.

My two favorites:

Arc 'em or park 'em
and
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

I don't know where the 2nd one came from, but it's a great reference to carving vs skidding. Especially if there are lots of "chocolate chips" in the snow.

I've heard it as "carve em or park em"

This was our instructors response at Steamboat when this petite 5'4" instructor kept me and my cousin chasing her all morning and we asked her how she goes so fast being so light and on such short skis.

By the way it was kind of funny, we went to an earlybird sunrise clinic and the instructor that was supposed to take us over slept. the Supervisor rounded up several instructors that were standing around and proceeded to ask them who would be able to take us. all the instructors standing there were female (3 of them)Candy, Bambi, Heather. We just had to ask if these were their real given names. (yes they were )

Side note, Probably one of the best technical lessons I got during that phase of my skiing.

I'm not sure if I remember where this one comes from but
after catching an edge and asked what happened. the response was
"that was the Rut sack on the ski tip trick"
or something like that.

"Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, Turn." (Charles Demar in Better Off Dead)

"Faster and faster and faster untill the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." I teach all of my children students to tell that to their partents if asked what they learned in ski school.
"Go fast, take chances, die young!" A slogan to ski/drive by.
"Faster horses, older whiskey, younger women, more money. Words to live by by a gentelman named Hall.

Since we're already getting away from ski related stuff, how about...

Get in, sit down, shut up and hang on!

I think it's a bumber sticker, but a guy I used to teach with, had a tricked out (for off road), restored, old Ford Bronco and had it painted, fairly small on the inside passenger window of his truck. The scary thing is, he meant it!

Utah49 - Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway was a motivational type presentation, by Jack Canfield I think. Should be available on cassette.

My favourite, from the No Fear series, is "Reality is, in fact, Virtual".

"Pain is temporary pride is forever" was around long before No Fear.

"no friends on a powder day" would be cliche and funny if it just weren't soo damn true! (in bounds)!

FYI "chicks dig scars " is a fallacy. but they're worth it anyway.. Liked that battle wounds w/ pride tag.

"There are but two pains, the pain of discipline(sp?) and the pain of regret."

A technical saying that we all should live by "edge first, then pressure"

Warren Witherall: "ski fast and and leave narrow tracks" "pick a slow line and ski fast in it"

And, of course my favorite is below.

Ski fast and laugh often.

"There are only 2 things you can do when skiing: Turn left and turn right. Do both as often as necesssary"

"Try to make as many left turns as right turns"

and a bumper sticker I saw a long time ago, and would like to to get:
