Anyone else wearing there ski boots right now?

I could not help it! With all of this snow in the Rockies and the cold weather here in Denver, the logical choice to me was to keep my feet warm in my ski boots...

Me too - earlier today while watching the 49ers self destruct et.al. - have to get those liners out of their summer doldrums.:

Color me jealous.

I feel pretty stupid for moving here this time of year.

Almost every evening had my new boots on, doing leg lifts with them, edging. Won't be new boots when I get on snow.

Dude what did you drop on your toes?

Not yet...
I have some new ones arriving this week...
My wife and i both have new boots coming...
We bought boots last year before i found this forum, i wont say how many sizes too large both of them were...:
Armed with the knowledge I have received from this forum, we went and purchased some new boots with the help of a pretty good boot fitter...
I would have never guessed my foot would fit into the size boot i ended up with, same hold true for my wife...

But when they do come in...
I will most certainly have to put them on a few times...

Isn't this thread about ski boots?

Actually, that's what my toes looked like in the spring of 2006 after I'd made the mistake one day midseason of skiing with loose boots instead of tightening them up after spending the morning giving beginner lessons. That's your typical toe bang. First they were sore. Next the nails turned black. Finally they fell off. I finished that season wearing bandaids every day because I'm a wimp.

I haven't seen anyone do it that bad in a single day in some time. Good job.

Right now? Are you silly, they would clash with the dress I am wearing.

Have mine on and they don't feel too good. Toe box feels like it shrunk from last year.

Funny... We just got my girlfriend fitted at Ski Center in DC last weekend (ended up with Instinct 9's. A bit higher-end than I thought we'd go, but the fit was really, really good, so we ate the cost on that... What was supposed to be "let's go buy a pair of boots as a gift for the girlfriend" turned into "let's give the girlfriend $350 towards a pair of boots..."). We were planning to go grass skiing at Bryce last Sunday, so when we got home, I told her that she should probably try to wear the boots for an hour or so around the house to make sure they were OK before we took them down to Bryce. She said she felt silly wearing them around the house, so I went and grabbed my boots (that I bought last spring, and have only worn for 1 grass skiing trip) and put them on, and we cooked dinner while wearing our boots.

Yes. Weird. I know.

She was thrilled with her boots on Sunday, though, and commented that she had more fun grass skiing that day than the other times we've gone, because her feet didn't hurt at all. Now that we've got a day in them, we're just waiting for our trip to Sugarloaf/Saddleback in December. We may try to get a day at a "local" hill before that...

All we could think while we were working on dinner was "if the neighbors see us like this, they'll think we're absolutely crazy!"

Yes, I am wearing my boots. I re baked my Thermoflex liners recently, and they are quite snug, but wearing them regularly until the season starts will hopefully take the edge off of the snugness.
