Only took 1 picture in four days of skiing at Solitude over Thanksgiving. However, it is an important one as it shows how face to face negotiations can lead to detente. Here you can see my daughter, Mary, Alta Skier, Fredo, and my son (in the lead) as the very first skiers of the season (except ski patrol) to head out to the west side of Honeycomb Canyon. The important thing to note is that my son, daughter, and myself were all on Pocket Rockets and in spite of that we were able to ski with AltaSkier without any huge confrontation! I actually think that Alta was a bit tired that day as there were very few clever barbs thrown, but as most of you realize, fatigue and desensitization can be an important part of detente. A few beers after skiing didn't hurt relations much either.
