Too Bad I missed you dude, although I'm glad I missed you know who.
I did in fact do the tramline. I waited till the last run though cause I knew the patrol would freak out on me, which they didn't. I was scolded gently but firmly, on the grounds that "[I was] setting a bad example for people riding the tram." I got a kick out of that statement by the patroller who was waiting for my group of three blissful poachers at the bottom, in the middle of a small crowd who had gathered to watch "those crazy whackjobs on the Tramline." DUDE IT WAS F*&*&ING SICK!!!! PROBABLY THE SECOND BEST SINGLE RUN OF MY LIFE (the first being a run down Green Beret at Jay Peak back in November).
I did 3 Mittersill runs and a run down Tucker Brook right before lunch (sick, just sick). Pops and I hitch hiked back from that.
I'm thinking that this summer is time to cut a new trail on the southeast side (what I've taken to calling the South Bowl), right from the Kinsman ridge trail at the summit down to Lafayette Place Campground. I'm not even talking a Glade, but a real trail, like 25-30 feet wide. It's 2,450' vertical to the bike path/snowmobile trail, averaging just under 40°. As it currently exists it can only be skied with a 70" base. I'd like to change that. Would you ski it Riverc0il?
