I don't think i posted this before, but Heavenly got some more snow on the 10th and put up another video on it: http://blog.skiheavenly.com/2007/10/...w-at-heavenly/

they seem to be doing the best job on putting early season videos up on the snow from what i've found, so i thought i'd share for anyone who doesn't know that theyre doing a pretty good job.

Big difference in the weather pattern this year. We were warm and completely dry into December last year. Nice to see these storms pulse through every few days, and its something I haven't seen for quite a few years. We got a nice shot on 10/12, and Tuesday 10/16 looks to be the next storm with colder air and more precip.

Today in El Dorado Hills we have a distinctly winter pattern following yesterday's rain, with fog running up into the foothills and sun above 1600 feet.

I took a fall run on the motorcycle out Salmon Falls road through the canyons to 49 and headed into Coloma. Gold Rush Days is going on with all the period costumes at Sutter's Mill. On up Cold Springs Road by a winery where I'm a member...just a taste, and on into Placerville. Sweet. Cool air, nice color. It almost doesn't get better than this for October.
