So who is the buyer?

I've heard venture capitalists from Connecticut or investors from Texas...does anyone here know the real story?

Was it just Rossignol or was it Rossi/ Dynastar/lange/ look?

There is no news on the Rossignol website. But, Rossignol is (was?) owned by Quicksilver, Inc. And the company does have quite a number of brands.

And why are all these ski equipment websites so difficult to navigate?

Hmm, no stories reported on this I can find.

I'm buying ZQK in the EpicSkiChallenge.

Damn you Garrett. I keep forgetting you were once Skiingman. Here i am wondering how this Garrett person got thousands of posts when I didn't even know who the heck he was.

Back to the thread. I have heard nothing about this on any website. Where did you get your information?

Hah, sorry Lars.

Still no news about this on the greater intarweb as far as I can tell. Quicksilver purchased for the game, we'll see what happens.

...I know people who know people. you know?

I'm pretty sure i'm right about the sale (and CT), just wondering who it is.

This is the sort of thing Medmarko usually chimes in on, with the goods.

I've been through this a couple of times. If it's true, the people that your people know really shouldn't be saying anything.

Having said that, Quicksilver has been public about their desire to offload parts of their wintersports group, and the "investors from CT" rumor has been out there in the biz since the beginning of the summer. I have no idea how valid it is.

I've been using google for news searches and turned up nothing more recent than late September which suggests the same divestment expectations as described above. The did say they were hoping to get a deal done by the end of October.

I've got a google alert set up for any Rossignol or Quicksilver news, so will post if / when I get something.

Cheers,
Bryan

Rossi buyer!

Popiel,
Ron Popiel will handle distribution via infomercial....
LOL, remember when Dynastar actually did that?

The end of October has arrived, and contrary to indications from this summer, Rossignol will remain with Quicksilver - at least for now. Quicksilver announced that they will sell the Cleveland golf brand, acquired as part of the Rossignol deal a few years back, to a Japanese sporting goods company.

There were comments by Quicksilver indicating a commitment to building the Rossignol brand, so hopefully they put those words into actions.

Cheers,
Bryan

The edges on these sqauds are so sharp, they can cut through a tin can and slice a tomato!
