Yo, homeboy, just wanted you to be aware of my ICE KNAR setup for skiing in the EAST this year:

192cm Elan M777 (84.5mm waist, 26m sidecut)
Vist V13 WC Plate
Salomon S916 w/10mm lift

Yeah. I'll be using these to slayax the burly ICE KNAR all over the east this year, including at some hills under 1000ft vert.

NENER NENER NENER!!!!!!!

PS: These are my ICE KNAR skis.....I have about 6 other pairs I use for softer snow, ie. anything softer than ICE KNAR.

10CM of lift? 100mm? plus vist plates which are 10-15mm. Get nose bleeds up there? Are those the Franken lifters?

It is. Highway Star is on such a different level than the rest of us that he has a different name for gnar. He's that good.

The VIST WC Race V13 incidentally is 13mm thick... The VIST plate with the 916s is a pretty sweet setup actually. I'm not sure I would have used the extra lift on top of that plate though (personal preference).

The extra 10cm of lift is needed because that is where he stores the [race stock] chair for when he is the backseat and needs a rest... of course he doesn't have to stop skiing - which is the plus to this kind of setup.

Why stop at 10cm?

BTW - are you still skiing the IM88's as your groomer ski or is this going to replace those?

It is a shame that these lifters are not FIS approved.

You're also supposed to put an umlaut over the "a". Unfortunatly, I don't know how to do umlauts on the computator.:

Um, excuse me, but it is everyone else who've always spelled it wrong, and Highwaystar, in his infinite wisdom and generosity has shown us the true way to spell it.

That is correct. Just find anything that has ever been said about Chuck Norris and substitute "Highway Star".

phillipe, learn to spell, everyone knows the proper Norse is knörr (wiki link)

which is really code for "noodle":

Holy flipping shite! With skis like that, you're going to slice Killington open wide and gut it like the fat, shivering sow that it is.

Just because I don't want to see this thread go quiet... and because I have been laughing about Phil's analogy all day. Here are a few facts about Highway Star for those of you who haven't been introduced:

Highway Star can do a wheelie on a unicycle.

Superman owns a pair of Highway Star pajamas.

Highway Star counted to infinity - twice.

Some kids piss their name into snow. Highway Star can piss his name into concrete.

Highway Star can build a snowman out of rain.

Later
