I voted, but theres a few ways the poll is skewed.

It should be closed to women and juniors.

Also, if someone owns a pair of super long old school straight skis for "longboard day" it will seriously skew the average, even if they only ski them one day a year.

Although I do think that we are currently in the beginning of a trend to move back to longer skis.

DOH! You're right! But I'm certain that I added it into the average.

"Wow. What rock were you under?"

I was under the rock comprised of live music, lottsa booze, and endless streams of pop culture trivia.

Basically from the end of college up until a few years ago I let free beer and free music rule my life (I'm a music journalist). Living in SF it always was easier to go out to the bars and indulge in some music than to pack up the truck and drive 4 hours to the snow. My priorities have changed drastically and now I'll blow off free beer and a show in favor of long drives and fresh snow.

so yeah, I was out of the loop/under a rock in terms of skiing for quite some time. Back in the game now, though, and making up for lost time, which is what counts, right?

If it went by average days skiing on each, it would be about 168.

Mine was 181. I have 2 skis that skewed it upward. One pair is a 1991(?) 203 Kastle National Team SG, and another is a 198 Nordica K0.0 GS ski that I use for the once a year easy Super G. I counted the Kastle because I made 2 runs on it last season.
