Ya, will do Heluva. I'm still trying to get confirmation on January 25th being Contractor's day at Holimont. Historically, it's always the last Friday in January. There's no reason at this point to think it will change.
I'm also working on group rates at Holiday Valley. As far as night life and apre ski I'll work on some details at some places. It would be nice to see what numbers we're working with so far, so i can see who can accomodate our numbers.
But so far, Contractor's Day will be a fun day. My offer holds for free lift tickets for as many as I can get. At this point, I should be able to get passes for 20, at least until they tell me differently. I've signed in 14 people before. Besides the excellent skiing at Holimont, the day will include free lunch vouchers, a very nice race course with timing and prizes for those who want to participate. And afterwards, free pizza and Buffalo wings, beer and wine. We will also partake in some apreski hobnobbing at a few EVille Bars and eateries. The Gin Mill, Balloons and the Ellicotteville Brewery to name a few. I'll list some local places to stay overnight later or you can visit the Holiday Valley website.
Saturday the 26th we will be skiing Holiday Valley. I will arrange a meeting place in one of the lodges there and there people can do breakfast, coffee and decide who wants to ski with who or we can just dominate the slopes. We can do a BBQ at one of the on slope warming huts or if you want I can get Mountain Crew or Safety Patrol to traffic everything we need for sandwiches, drinks, hotdogs etc. No alcohol though. There are three or four on slope huts we can use. Heated of course. Group rates can be had so I'll need solid numbers with names. It's usually $10 off ticket price. I can get a race course set up at Holiday also but we maybe just would like to be in a party mode. Afterwards, I'm thinking we do the Depot across the road for Pizza and Wings. I know the owners and can tell them to expect us. Otherwise, night skiing is available for those who want.
That's the best I can do at this point. I can tell you it will be an excellent event and one to remember for WNY and Epic Ski. Plenty of pictures with smiles and laughter.
