I guess I'm a one-trick pony that's expanding his repertoire.
I suck at moguls, but I'm pretty good at DH. At speed on groomers or off-piste I feel like a precision instrument. At speed in moguls I feel like a street-brawler in a world-class boxing match; it's brutal. I'm still getting used to going slow in moguls. I've skied slowly with beginners before, but not in steep moguls.
If it can be skied, I can ski it, and usually ski it faster than most folks I see skiing. I have skied just about everything from icy volkswagon beetles and haystacks of soft snow to steeps and deep snow, but I always treated every run in my younger days as a Chinese Downhill. I guess I had a speed addiction from an early age. It was only during the last half dozen years or so that I finally decided to seriously explore smaller radius (slalom-like) turns. I spent most of my time before that perfecting a long radius carve.
