Trotski (by the way, I really like that handle):
I skied a lot on the 77 two seasons ago and I skied about half a day on the 78's last year. There's quite a bit of difference. The 78 seems more substantial. It has much more of that traditional Head "feel", which is a powerful, pretty damp, ski that you can really stand on.
While I liked the 77 quite a bit, it kind of felt a little "nervous" to me. It always wanted to be doing something. The 78 has a lot of energy, but you only feel it when you ask for it.
I liked the 78 quite a bit more than the 77, but I only made a few runs on the 78. I think the 78 can stand a lot more speed than the 77 could.
