you know, since K-2's are the oft-sited off shore company, I will weigh in on how much I have always hated their product, going back to the late 60's I think, if memory serves, and that is doubtful at this stage. WAAAAAY back in the day K-2 made what was called a wet wrap: random bubble injected liquid foam core with wet-soaked fiberglass cloth wrapped around it. Lively as h for about 3 days. then gone away, dead. Now they just skip the lively first step and start dead, no life, no personality, no rebound, no dampening--nothing, just blah. they bend and have a shape of some sort, but that doesn't make them a ski, not yet, not in my world. I have had reps in the gondola line pitching their crap right there on the hill. Jeez. They are that desperate to say that to a guy toting Explosivs. I guess a ski company that started with the wet-wrap farse (when Kneissel was making a multi-wood, 2-channeled, variable grain biased wood core with full side walls, variable segmented edge, top sheet edge guards, and laminated sandwich construction) is still up to their old cheap tricks. Good luck K-2. I for one will fight you every step of your cheap journey, it's been 40 years and I have not grown tired of dis-liking your skis, wet-wrap-crap to Chinese sleeze.
