I woke up this morning and it was g-g-gone!: Was it a dream? Oh, there it is. Up on yonder mountain.

Lisa, who is glad to be able to say yonder mountain instead of yonder skyscraper.

I think Tahoe already got more snow this year than all of last year.

We got about 40 cm at my hill last week. Looking wintery.

Kind of looks like Killington.

That's because, with the clouds, you can't see the actual peak rising behind the trees.

not that its snowing, in fact; it's not even in the forecast; but low's for Tahoe are 31, 21 and 19 for this wed. thru friday.

i would argue that winter is here, the question is only who gets hit early and/or who gets hit often.

i'm hoping that answer is everyone and all the time.

Not here. It's been beautiful fall weather here near the mouth of the little cottonwood canyon. I love this time of year in Utah, 70 degrees, bright blue skies, snow and red/yellow leaves ( depending on elevation ) up in the mountains.

It looks like snowbird may get more snow this comming Friday and Saturday Oct 5&6. But who knows, forecasts that far out aren't very accurate. But still, its definitely not winter yet.

lm here you go i was out early biking the penninsula and took this just for you

your enthusiasm is sorta premature but certainly infectious and i really like it a lot because more people in these parts should love the winter but so many just grumble about the short summer

Sun is out again, but still some snow up above 2000 meters.

The season is coming!

Should current forecasts hold, we'll have a 24" to 36" base by Friday.
