My god, no wonder we have problems getting new ski and snowboard customers! When I did my own teaching of my daughter, it wasn't because of the price of instruction, it was because she was a momma girl. But, with these prices, I wouldn't have purchased ONE HOUR of instruction! Don't these guys get that having a kid hooked early is part of their future business???? I only had to pay for seasonal rentals ($85 or less each year) for her first 4 years of skiing. By then she was hooked. If I was a parent and confronted with those prices and didn't have confidence (or patience) to do my own teaching, I bet the cost would have kept me home entirely. So they lose not only the kid money, but the parent money as well. What, are they NUTS? Wow, I really feel for those families who already got passes. I think they should demand, very vociferously, refunds, especially if all of this information was not available when they got their season passes.
