You might think that, but remember, the P70s will also not have the rebound, stability, or edge hold that the P70's have. The Tigers will also ski a bit stiffer than the P70's. You will likely find yourself traveling at speeds in races that you aren't accustomed to going in training - probably ending in skiing out of the course because you will not have developed the skill to control it. You may also ingrain habits that you can get away with on the P70's that the race tigers may not be willing to accept. The P70, being a lower level ski, will be more forgiving of bad skiing. This won't be a benefit when race day rolls around. Like I said above - ski the hell out of the P70's this year, dump them for what you paid for them, keep your current race tigers, and buy a brand new pair next season and you'll have two good pairs of stock slaloms. Thats usually how I work it.
