Staring at my ski's

Darn ski mags are coming again.. news says snow in the sierra.. squirrels are gathering nuts (I know this because they are trying to abduct me!).

Now I'm panicking because I'm behind in my training, and I haven't splurged on new equipment this year.

I hereby declare this a new disease - PSA (pre-season anxiety). Wonder if I can collect some insurance money for it. I hear the only cure is a 3 week trip to Whistler!

But have you tried your ski boots on yet?
Have you put your ski clothes on yet?
Have you slept with your skis?

If you answer no to those questions, then you don't have it bad!!!
You're just a weenie who stares at your skis...........

I wore my ski socks in Florida
I just dug out my goggles to 'check' them
Skis are 4 feet in front of me
And my boots just moved into the shop - I'm sure I'll have them on tomorrow. For balance excercises of course

Dont ask about me to my neighbours.. they already think I'm a wierdo for liking winter..lol

I just informed(asked)S.O. that it was time to bring in the skis from the shop where they are stored. She says"It's only Sept.!" :

sadly, i've been staring at my skis since the end of the season. I have a total of 7 pairs laying around the flat i rent in SF. 2 pairs of retired Rossi's, 3 pairs that I've put up on Craigslist, TGR, Epic, and SnowPals and still haven't sold, 2 pairs of brand new, still in the shrinkwrapping.

i, too, am totally out of shape, though i've started riding my bike to go to the movies, meet friends for dinner, and just get around town rather than taking the bus or driving.

i messed up my back the other weekend and it's just now starting to show the bruises and swelling, so i've been laying low (plus it started to rain here on Friday and early this morning...the weathermen were off by a day as they had forcasted Thursday rain and sunny weekend). i actually have contemplated trying the boots on a few times this week, but have resisted the tempation (mostly because they're buried under a stack of CDs.

going to Tahoe in 2 weeks for a wedding isn't gonna help matter much nor is the fact that i have to somehow make it out to Summit County before November so i can score a Colo Pass...

oh yeah, all of my non-skiiing friends have started the "So Spence, when does ski season start?" querying something fierce. even they know something is brewing (or that i'm just going stir crazy).

i think it's a sure sign (of what, i don't know) when all your friends start introducing you at parties and gatherings as "This is Spence. He loves to ski and owns like 20 pairs of skis."

I found a pair of 125mm brakes for the Spats, they were installed last night. I think I found 110mm brakes for the XXL's.

I've been matching skis and bindings, waiting for Rockfordman’s ski shop to open. Who needs patio furniture anyway?

I’m considering new liners for my boots..

I should be selling half the skis in the house, but I can’t bring myself to it. The supply of ski gear is outstripping demand on eBay and prices suck. I’ll just have to keep ‘em all I guess .

I told Finndog to give me crap if I haven’t sold anything by mid October .

I need to ski.

I have been wearing my ski boots.

I'm afraid to try on my ski clothing.

Must increase my time on the Skier's Edge.

: Oh my God, I got it tooo. Been in the boots bout 6xs, even had me in the boots, in the bindings, on the skis, in the fam room. Just tipping a bit. Pulled out the tuning table and it is now set up. Course I had to do it cause of the new skis I got on Labor day needed a summer wax, I told myself. Got the balance board and discs out, been on the Fitter Pro bout 2 wks then 1 off, back on this am. Is it snowing yet?:

Yep, I have hardwood floors but have laid down the yoga mat in the living room and clicked in when just being in my boots wasn't enough.

I got custom footbeds, am looking at new boots and daydreaming about new skis. Have spent days planning multiple versions of blockbuster ski season scenarios for this next season (work?? I'm telling myself skiing comes first!). Last season ski days = 25. Goal for next ski season 60+ (trips to Alta/Snowbird, Steamboat, Tahoe of course, possibly Taos, possibly Big Sky, possibly Aspen/Snowmass)....
