Discount Lift Tickets at Grocery Stores?

I just did a search on the board for info on discount lift tickets to Keystone.

It appears that there are very few deals for out-of-staters to take advantage of.

We will be coming to ski for 3 days Jan 2 - 6. Would our best bet be to purchase the lift tickets at a grocery store off of I-70? We'll be stopping anyway for groceries.

Thanks for any tips and ideas on best grocery store to purchase lift tickets at!

My knowledge is weak in this area not being a local, but here's one relevant old thread: http://forums.epicski.com/archive/in...p?t-49842.html

Yeah the King Soopers at I70 and Youngfield sells discount tickets. Be warned the discounts are not nearly as good as they were 5 years ago.

Should tapping pass holders to sponsor tickets for you is probably your best bet and deal. It's actually pretty easy. I probably got about 8 tickets for people last year on my Winterpark pass. Colorado pass holders can do the same thing for Keystone.

Thank you both for the tips. Do you know if the 4-pack lift tickets on sale for Keystone right now have to be used by the same person who purchases the tickets. My parents are in Colorado right now on vacation and I was wondering if they could purchase the tickets that we will be using Jan. 3, 4, 5.

Thanks!
