Which is why I can't just watch the bike racing part without thinking about the preparations. I wouldn't pay to see it, I think Landis was one of the things that helped me quit cable, but I'm catching some of the Giro on digital broadcast TV. Most exciting first half of a grand tour I can remember.

Although you've dodged my question, the fact that you want to know where to see such an event answers it.

The reports I read didn't question the science.  Instead they questioned the handling of the samples and the monitoring of the tests.  With the two samples being off the charts for synthetic testosterone it was easy for Landis to claim the samples were tampered with or contaminated.  Add in a few tour officials that seemed to be out to get Lance & his buddies & you get a situation where Landis was able to play the victim.

Not quite.....I don't really care one way or the other.  I don't watch much in the way of sports or tv (i don't even own one in my primary home).  I don't really care much whether they are cheating or not since it matters little to me.  I do like to see drama and excitement in my sporting events when I watch and I get that whether they dope or they don't.

Floyd, Lance, doping and pro-cycling....a gift that just keeps giving to forums and cycling enthusiasts!

Keeps me from watching the Tour of California this week.

Is Lance Bernie Madoff on a bike??? He's either one of the greatest champions or one of the greatest frauds. Does innocent until proven guilty apply?

In cycling it depends on who you are and who's asking.

Hmmmm....Lances's blood count goes UP during the '09 TdF as opposed to the expected decrease seen with prolonged stress

Blood tubing is found in the Astana's team facilities last year.

We won't go into Dr. Galea's recent arrest for smuggling HGH and actovegin into the US and his close ties to the US Postal Team.

We won't go into a cancer survivor actually performing better following chemotherapy.

I will admit that it's hard to compare Lance's victories with true heroes of cycling because they raced in the European tour and Lance was a "specialist". You know, people like Eddie Merykx, Bernard Hinault, Miguel Indurain, Greg LeMond....

Barry Bonds hasn't tested positve for "PED's" either....

Lance is an attention getter. He's good for the TdF and the organizers figured that out last year. I'm sure the glorification of a cheater will continue this summer.

Fortunately, my fav rider, admittedly very stupid, is back. I hope Tom Boonen does well in the race for the green jersey this year

My favorite rider is the one who comes in last because from what I'm reading here it's impossible to be competitive without cheating. To succeed in bike racing, you must cheat, so I will applaud only the losers.

Do you applaud the last place finisher, or the very first guy to drop out of the race?

Heck, I would get dropped in the neutral start and I don't take anything stronger than some cabernet, can I be your favorite rider?

Purportedly a lot of those Italian amateur cyclists with their aerobellies make many amateurs look like gapers. Must be the peds of olive oil.
