Hi everyone. Yes I'm still alive and well for those of you who wondered. Getting psyched for the ski season like everyone else here. Yes, still on Vipers and Bandits. Still lurking about. Just wanted to say how nice the changes to this site are and as soon as I figure them all out, I promise to use them more often. I'm glad to see all my friends are still here.

Lookie who is here. Glad to see you on-line again my friend. A lot of changes have happened around here. Most of them for the good. People have come and people have gone but the quality of the content remains the same.

For those "new" people and I am talking those within the last 18 months let me introduces Lars to you. First just look at his member #. Yep he is an old timer here. He is Patroller, football coach, former semi-pro hockey player, father, husband and all around great guy.

Lars always has great insight on ski instructing even though he is not a trained instructor but mostly he has just seen and done it all. He is a founding member of the Gathering of the Bears and saved my ass in Squaw when I earned the name Powdigger. Glad to have you back my friend!!!! The outside construction season must be winding down.

Thanks guys, Just a rainy day here. Time to get caught up on paperwork and decided to check out the forum. Glad to be back. Hope to have enough time to spend with all you guys. Chat with all my old friends. Been a good Summer for me. Going to be a good Winter I think. I'll be making a few trips out West this year. A mid December trip for five days to Summit County. Cousins wife having a baby. Got to get some ski time with him before his days get too busy. Wifey will be with me. Hopefully, we can hook up with some folks out there. Another trip in February around Presidents day for a week. Colorado, I think. Graduation trip for my Son Daryl and some of his friends and their Fathers. It's been planned for two years now. And a Spring trip somewhere, maybe back to the Pacific Northwest. I really enjoyed it there. Crystal, Alpental were nice, Maybe Whistler again. So, I'll be busy. I would love to see some Bears. I can't commit to the Utah trip because of all the other things going on but who knows. In there somewhere in March is a wedding in Vegas for a guy who works for me. I'm going to be freakin broke! by Spring.Anyhow, I missed you all and promise to visit more often. It's good to know that some things never change.

LARS! #92! Hey, a great big hello from #45! Has anyone ever told you that you have GREAT taste in skis?

See if you can make it to Sugarbush March 1,2,3 or 4 to the New England [northeast, actually] gathering of the Bears. If you can't come to where we'll be [Vermont, Utah] then I'll come to where YOU'LL be - HV, I mean. Great to se you back! Remember, you're one of the reasons I'm still skiing . . . and I remember that an appreciate it.

Welcome back Lars! As one of the original double-digit members of EpicSki, you were one of my main attractions when I first found the site. With all the great changes AC has made to EpicSki, its real value remains its members, and guys like you remain its foundation. I'm glad you're still here!

Best regards,
Bob Barnes
