... to check out my reviews webpage. http://thegearguru.com/index.php?name=Reviews

it is mainly freeride/big mountain stuff at the moment, but will welcome any well written reviews. please contact me via email if you wish to submit a review.

i have alot to add to it here soon, but hopefully some will be interested. i'd appreciate any feedback you might have.

also feel free to check out the forums area. trying to keep that to reviews, tech talk, and picture/video stoke.

anyhow, really interested in any thoughts on developing the site, other than adding more content (working on it )

Marshall! Welcome to epic!

Marshal, welcome. I'd love to see some of the reviews posted in the gear forums here if you'd be willing to share.
The blend of technical detail and stoke is great.

If this is Marshalolson from TGR, what's up!

I dig this dude.

He was great when I was shopping for skis the past two seasons and welcomed all my JONG/NOOB questions and supplied answers that were not snarky, but rather well phrased and informative.

I totally dig his Recommended Skis/Bindings sticky over at TGR, which contains detailed summaries of a wide variety of highly recommended/favored skis and bindings as well as a comparitive flex chart.

Marshall also seems to have a grip on classic skis, as well, as I innundated him with numerous "What are these skis that I found at the boondock shop lurking in the back? Should I buy them" questions over the past two seasons.

He gets the dookey two thumbs up!

well, it seems that my non-for-profit, just trying to put together a fun site is stirring the hornets nest, and may threaten the for-profit aspect of epic.

so, modetors: let me know and i'll happy delete this thread, or i suppose you guys could without my knowledge. either way.

Sorry to hear that. I always check epic and TGR's recommended threads when looking for info on new gear.

I'm not aware of any message or request to modify this thread. PM sent.

For the record, EpicSki as a for-profit venture is pretty hilarious. The lights stay on here mainly because of the generosity of supporters contributing $20 per year subscriptions, and a few affiliate relationships like BackCountry.com and sponsors such a Tools4Boards and Sierra Ski and Snowboard.

Hey, Stop that!!!
There's only one Drama Queen allowed per site, and Epic already has one of those!!

Ditto.

Like any new product, and given my distrust of Marker bindings over the years, I was intrigued but skeptical about the Duke. But then after reading 'Shral's thorough review, I was sold. Definitely trust and value his opinion on gear like this.

Welcome mang! Glad to see you over here.

Seriously, have you seen the graphix on these things?
They are supposed to be the WSS of the Elan 888, which I'm very excited about, and yet they had to make the graphic faux Pas.........ugh!
