Disclaimer: I used to carry KUU waxes and continue (and intend to continue) to carry some of their products. So take the following with a grain of salt.......
I think of KUU as a reputable company out of Canada & I believe Ron Kuu's wife is (or was) the lead chemist behind their products. It's certainly not as well known in the US as the others mentioned.KwikSki
is the US distributor, has an online store and has been around for ages (and is one of my suppliers for KUU & other products).
Regarding official team suppliers, they are among
others (ie Tools4Boards supplies Canada & Maplus supplies the US, Canada and others...and are among others).
Personal experience with KUU waxes were limited to the hydrocarbon solids, LF pastes and sprays. I could tell no difference between the KUU and Swix solid glide waxes I had on hand at the time (a few years ago) and generally liked them. The paste was in convenient containers as were the pump sprayers and I liked them, except for their durability. Maplus liquids and sprays are superior.
I can't recall which wax, but I think the graphites were 'Da Kine' for a while with high level snowboarders.
One thing that I didn't like or believe was different glide waxes for different disciplines (ie one for nords, one for boarders & one for skiers). I couldn't tell the difference and looked at that as pure marketing versus real differences. What does the wax care what kind of board it's on?
I may have some solid and paste floating around if you want to check them out. I've used the LF spray to lube door hinges and sticky drawers for grins and it works real well as other spray waxes do.
