According to this Job offer, Dynastar should 'develop new products in partnership with ferrari, a brand with which it shares competition and performance values'. Those could be sold in 'high class resorts, Ferrari dealerships, Luxury items stores...'
BTW, that's a job offer for the chief marketing project manager (translation ?). Based in Sallanches.

Volkl...Porsche. How did that work out?, how far did it go?

Hmmm... considering that I fantasize about being as fast as a Ferrari when I ski my Dynastars, perhaps I'll apply! (Please note the word "fantasize"!)

Actualy, I don't know. I've seen, and still see, some very overpriced Porsche skis in a few shops. I've no idea about how successful it was / is.
Obviously not a high volume partnership, but was it an image success ? Does the partnership extend to more than skis ?

Do you have any insights ?

Acer - Ferrari JV

Ferrari has a pretty successful venture with ACER computers.

There are 2 current models:

Acer Ferrari 5000 and Acer Ferrari 1000.

Both well built state of the art notebooks.

Colnago seems to have a successful and very elite program with Ferrari as well... including the use of Ferrari's design studios for the CF framework I think.

Ferrari has very strong Carbon-fiber application skill, if Dynastar went in that direction.

There is already manufacturers marketing together.

Subaru-Nordica
Lexus-Rossignol
Elan-Suzuki
Volkl-Porsche
...to name a few.

I don't think there is any technology being transfered in these relationships.

These skis were just run of the mill retail Volkls with Black Porshe top-sheet.

The term "sucker" springs to mind.

So does "closeout". They were available online for a song and a dance.

Anyone got a link to Eric Scholpy's D' Star's coming apart in a major delamination?

It would make great ad copy for their performance "at speed".

carbon topsheet or not, how can those be "Ferrari" skis and not be red?
LOL.

I will gladly laminate a carbon topsheet onto a ski of your choice, right here at the base of the Sandia mountains where I work with great care and accuracy. I will charge you quite a bit less than 1000 euro for this privilege.
