For beginner - where is a place to ski in Utah?

We like to have your opinion of where is the best mountain in Utah for a group of beginner skier (adults) and intermiade for Teens. The teens like to snowboard. We have skied at Breck (peak 9), Copper (Union Creek) and Keystone. Also, due to snow condition, when would be the best time, Dec or March?

Thanks in advance for your recommendation.

Since you have boarders, Park City is probably the best option that provides lots of variety for all.
The best time is dependant on what type of conditions you like to ski and especiallly what week in December you are thinking about.

Unless it is late in the month, March will almost always be better than December. Park City would be a good choice along with Brighton and Powder Mountain.

We are looking between Dec 25 - Dec 31/07 or March 15-22/08. Thanks

That makes things pretty simple...unless you like very high lodging rates and crowded slopes, March is the way to go.

Brighton in March.

Solitude would be something to look at as well.

3rd-ed for March. You REALLY don't wont to mess with x-mas/new years week.

And for the record, Alta has the best beginner terrain in the wastach. Buy those kids some skis....

The answer is Deer Valley and here's why: We skied with a couple beginners there last winter and they loved it because there were green runs that allowed them to actually ski the mountains, all over the terrain, not just at the bottom of a single area. There are some beautiful long runs and great views from the top that are as good as any double black. The greens at DV take you all over the mountains and go on and on and on. Very nice, I even enjoyed them as traverses to the tougher terrain. Its a good bet for green and blue skiers.
Park City has a great run down the middle and another in the back, but after that, it gets a bit tougher for beginners. Alta has a beginner area that is actually too easy, but then, of course, it gets a whole lot tougher after that.
