Ok, what drink am I going to buy for you? Unfortunately I'll probably have to drink it myself, but then it's the thought that counts, right?

Damn, I wish I would have chosen a day or two earlier as my first official day back to epic, this way I could have made plans to make it. Have fun and I look forward to skiing with the bears this winter.

Damn, just saw this thread. Hope you all had a good time; maybe next time I'll be paying attention so I can join you! Do the Philly bears get together often?

We will try again before the season starts. Where are you? tell us about you.

Mickey: We'd love to have you, especially if you drink beer, a failing in half the previous attendees. I'm lobbying Phil to have the next GTG at Teresa's Next Door, about a mile from the previous venue, where they have 26 brews on tap, ncluding 12 Belgians. And you have to agree to help me persuade Phil to come to Blue once this season.

next time...

I live about a mile from both establishments, but had a meeting last Tuesday eve.

Teresa's Next Door is good for beer..great selection, especially if you like Belgian beers, but VERY LOUD!!! The interior is all stone and tile, and acoustically is awful. I would rather go the Freehouse upstairs or even Christophers, which is not exactly quiet, either, but better than Teresa's.
Sorry I didn't get to meet you guys, Judge called for a bs emergency hearing on a temporary injunction and this is the first time I have been able to come up for air. Belgians are awsome rochefort 10 is one of my all time favorites.

Nectar is good, but IMHO way overated. Christophers might be the next stop.

There will be a more "informal GTG 12/9..keep the day open. :

It might be too late for Teresa's Next Door. It was recently written up in a food/restaurant review (Inquirer link). That means it will be big time crowded for the next few months as the latest, coolest import beer bar, ... good for business, bad for the common user.
