hi Bears

I know this is early but i thought the earlier better when organizing this type of thing.Myself and my friend (an Englishman and Irishman) will be coming to Vail to ski on the 17th Jan . We're hoping to get some people together for skiing on the Sat 19th and then Apres ski well into the evening .

If any of you Vail guys & girls want to join in a day of fun and merriment , and fancy showing us what Vail has to offer please drop me a line. I'll gather a list then organize where to meet etc depending on how many people want to join us for the day/eve.

I really hope that some of you can make it .We're in our late thirties so all are welcome young and old .

Bump up this thread when the time gets closer. If my knee is feeling up to it, I may be able to come out. What kind of stuff do you guys ski?

Me too

I might be able to make plans to come to Colorado for an extended weekend as well. My pass is good for 3 days at any Vail resort and I'd like to use those days this year. Do bump this up as the time gets closer!

Maybe we can convince WTFH to come stateside for some Colorado action as well? We can only hope.

will bump it up guys as you suggest - probably once a month and definately the month before.

As for type of skiing - i ski a bit of everything , some off piste , trees , piste , carving etc .Would consider myself advanced .I also have knee problems so no bumps (always hated them anyhow.)Our plans are that we just get to meet some like minded people and have a ball all over the mountain.Phil (the Irishman) is more of a novice and will keep to easy piste - he'll either join in with others or take himself off for a lesson or two. Hoping to meet some like minded guys and/or girls .

Sounds good. I can show around Vail a bit (hopefully my knee will cooperate -- I'm about 5 months post-op from an ACL reconstruction right now). Good to know that you're okay with off-piste skiing -- it's almost a waste to ski groomers at a place like Vail.

Current plans were to arrive on 19/20 and then go to Utah the week after the ESA.

Kier, any chance you could head over to Aspen on 20th?

You've kinda answered your own question - the EpicSki Academy is taking place in Aspen 20-24th January...

WTFH, you up for Vail on 1/19, Aspen 1/20? I'll probably ski at least two more days on this trip since I get 3 days at any of the Vail Company resorts on my pass. Not sure whether those days would be before or after the weekend... but it seems like before would be better since you guys will all be at ESA after, and I don't think the full ESA is in the budget for this year.
