I have to admit that I really dug the M:EX in the 175 (tried the 185 and it was beefy and a monster barge).
I would have bought a pair, but I got trapped in the joy that is demoing and over-analyzing.
I was close to snagging a pair last season via Sierra Trading Post and/or Sierra Snowboards, but I kept holding out and finally they were all gone.
I think it's probably better, as I'm more or less a fan of wood core skis.
To this end I've got one word that should replace Atomic:
BLIZZARD (these are truly underrated skis, as I'm sure Scotskier and Phil--whom I think ditched his for Elan this season, right?--will attest and I can't wait to get on my 181 Titan 9's this coming season, at least when the snow is thin and icy).
Also, it seems like every one of the BIG guys eventually falls from grace. I recall K2 used to be hot shizzle. And Rossi, too.
Personally, I'm becoming a bigger fan of the small/smaller companies (the aforementioned Blizzard, AK, etc).
