Can Epic provide a calendar for on-the-hill events?

It's currently difficult to sort through postings to find an on-the-hill meeting or event.

What might be more useful, and encourage more comradery, would be an online calendar that would provide who/what/where for Bears informally meeting for some runs. Bears would potentially post and maintain this without direct supervision.

We might even feature multiple calendars based on regions. This would provide events at a glance for skiing close to home or at a resort while traveling.

Just a thought :.

Like that one that we have had for years that does not get used?

Well, ask and you shall receive. A new Events Calendar has been created.

To go to the Events Calendar you need to switch your calendar view in the lower right hand corner of the calendars. Any registered member can now start filling in events on the new calendar and they won't be lost among the birthdays. The default view when you click Calendar (above) seems to still be the Community Calendar with all the birthdays.

Thanks for the suggestion Michael!

You can put your events on either calendar... Let us know how you'd like to use them...

I am wondering how important having a birthday calendar is. I think it's more important to have an events calendar and as far as I'm concerned you can stop with the birthdays. Of course, I'm at the age I have to do the subtraction thing to remember how old I am....

It's a simple option on the calendars. I'm happy to turn that off. They will still show up on the day of the birthday at the bottom of the main forum page.
