Keep the faith, put the boots on, break out the porn (if you haven't already), up the reps on your sqauts and lunges and get ready to rip up the Ski review rags.... It's coming

Do I convince my sister in law(lives near Denver) that its her turn to host thanksgiving dinner?
What's more...........can I convince my husband to actually get on a plane and go there for thanksgiving?

excellent plan, trekchick. trek-sis should force you to shoulder the burden of the long trip out. Along with the long piece of luggage.

or from reading your posts, several long pieces of luggage.

Yes, the faith is strong. Haven't put the boots on yet but have been viewing the porn daily.... especially this one:

Been ramping up the squats and lunges and crunches and leg lifts since July.

Yup, I'm ready and I've been giving thanks daily:

....and... only 35 days (or less) until the snow starts flying on the divide:

My friend started counting at 150 days and I have been waiting since the last day I skied. We have our season passes at Alta and our accomodations for January 15 days and March 16 days.

oh god i gotta figure out how i'm gonna visit my uncle in denver. Hmm.. convince parents to let me fly out alone... bus it to a mountain... spend the week with my cousin and come back alive. that should last me till thanksgiving

The boots have already been on, and I'm wondering if i should break out the iron and give the skis a few coats of wax... they've been lonely so long.

Only 76 days till Halloween.

About one out of every two or three years Wolf Creek opens on Halloween or the weekend just before or after. A couple of years ago they opened with a 50" (all natural) base on Oct. 29th. Here's hoping for early snow and lots of it!

The one benefit of rehab for my knees has been a private training coach. BTW, props to Johnny'sZoo for his unofficial help with training. July 1st is always my kick-off date to ramp up. I recorded a bunch of
snowboard shows and Untracked episodes off of Fuel channel and watch them along with regular porn.

I wil be calling Cantman, Billy Kaplan soon for new footbeds and to install my M4 Hotronic boot heaters. I just need the ski and skiing to wipe my ass with and I'm set.

I'm heading out of town ("up north") for the annual late summer long weekend on Lake Michigan. Two hallmarks of this trip in recent years have been the first Lions' pre-season game and the first issues of the ski rags to read on the beach.

We missed the first football game by a week this year. Are the rags out yet? I haven't seen them. Guess I'll make a dedicated effort in the next few hours.

Got the 1st issue of Powder for the season in the mail yesterday. Definitely good beach reading. Lots of deep snow shots. The buyer's guide was nothing but fat skis and really fat skis.

I, for one, am really killing myself. I'm pretty excited to see the season start off as I'm planning to do a little bit of skiing in Michigan this year..... but it's still more than five months before I get on top of a mountain
