In need new porn. I already have all WM, Match stick ski movie collection sold in pack. What is newer and not all park/pipe? Like more back country natural terrain.

How about The Waiting Game or

Respect.

These are in high def and if you have a plasma or HDTV and a HD-DVD or even a DVD with component hookup you will be surprised at the picture quality.
I absolutly loved Waiting Game, but didn't think Respect was very good at all. Some decent skiing, but the editing was all just way too heavy and didn't really do anything to get me stoked to ski.

If you can find a copy, try Echo or Stimulus.

Just realized you said matchstick and warren miller, but no mention of TGR. If you don't have anything by them, I'd definitly go that route, along with Waiting Game.

Keep it real Maggot, include the trailer
and ironic that the last thing Respect included was respect. It should have been called "start and avy"

ECHO (never seen it)
^^ Echo is one of my favorite ski movies of all time.

PNW from Theory-3 looks promising (to me) from thier trailer. I have it on order, but it's not out just yet.

My all-time fave, not that I've seen many, remains 1999.

Waiting Game , Anomaly from TGR is OK. Anomaly has J Pierre's huck.

"Push" was Matchstick's 2006 release (non pack), and VERY little park stuff thankfully.

Best ski movie I've ever seen, and I think I've probably seen 'em all at least twice.

That was going to be my nomination of the newer movies. I was in Steamboat about to buy it last year and didn't. When I got back to work there was a copy on my desk. Turns out Subaru was one of the sponsors and gave each dealer a copy, since I was the only skier, I got it. It was a pleasant surprise.

The Waiting Game has the best AK footage ever.
Nothing but falling (and I don't mean tumbling) through air in those lines.

Interesting factoid - While being fitted for my new boots at Whistler last December, I was watching Push on the shop screens. After letting out one or two requisite Holy $*i^!s, a couple of the stars happen to hang at the shop, so I got to say hello.

For an old boy living CT, who's first day 40+ years ago was at Southington, it made getting new boots even more pleasent.

Cool story! I checked, thats 2 movies, Push and pull

I like a lot of the Meathead movies. They're east coast oriented, but have a lot of backcountry footage, and what I like is that the clips aren't over done the way they tend to be in Warren Miller movies. It's a different kind of movie. You won't see any Alaskan faces, but there's a lot of good footage of east cosat tree skiing.

Push is the "official" movie, with an excellent soundtrack. 'Pull" is the individual atheletes version with their editing.

No you can't just buy "Push".

This is what I was trying to respond to. Wow, think, then type - what a concept.

THanks to all, I got Waiting game and Echo this weekend.

Waitng Game is fantastic. THe HD version is sweet, even on traditional TV's the resolution is great, it does make a difference. Thar part that counts, the footage is great. This is my favorite movie so far. Great pow shots and very well done overall. A bit short at 73 minutes but the J-hole and alta segments are worth the entire price.

Echo is also very good and worth while owning. Good shots. good skiing.

Push/ Pull IMO was the best I have ever seen

Push is great great music, great location. A little different from most ski movie.

Pull has some cool stuff you dont see in push like Darron Ralves and his chicken with its head cut off freesking, and Mike Douglas line on this gnarly spine you have to see to believe(you see the head cam in Push), and other decent stuff.

I actually found respect, well kinda of dumb. risking your life in snow conditions like really isnt "respect"

Not your typical ski porn but if you can find it Sinners it gets me more stoked to ski powder(like I really need to be stoked) than any other film ever. made.

Just ordered Push/pull
Push was good. I actually like many of the athletes in MSPs films better than others. They have solid group. I didn't like pull as much as push. The hit list remix is better than the Hit list and IMO as good as or better than push. The pep fujas segment tree skiing in grosny is really really sick.

I would also recommend the waiting game and the tangerine dream.
