Best binding for Snoop Daddys.

Just bought a pair of Atomic Snoop Daddys at SierraSnowboards' great sale. Any opinions on what bindings I should get? They're for my husband: 200 lbs, a somewhat advanced but not a particularly aggressive skier (bad knees=no bumps). SierraSnowboard's website recommends either the Look Px 12 Ti, the Salomon S914 Ti, or the Marker 1200s. Any thoughts on which would be best, or is there something else I should consider?

If I wasn't going to just put an Atomic binding on it, I'd get some Marker Jesters.

IMHO, for Jon, any 3.5-10 DIN binding will be fine.

I have an idea where you can pick up a nice salomon, fer cheap.

I don't know whether Atomic extends the warranty when you mount with an Atomic binding. If they do, all else being equal, I'd think that you might as well take advantage of it. But I haven't skied the Geze-derived Atomic bindings, so I may not be a good judge. In addition, as I understand it, the Atomic FFG 412 is a rebranded Z12, and some have reported problems with the Z series.

If price is an issue, I'd watch SAC for 12-DIN Looks or Salomons. If history is a guide, they should be available this fall in the $70-80 price range.

Tyrolia FF11 $99.00 here http://www.ski-depot.com/miva/mercha...roduct_Count=8

I have the FF 17 + on my Head Monsters (Almost identical dimensions to the Snoop) and they have worked perfectly. I also have them on my Supershape speed and Head i.SL RD.

Atomic Neox 412

Look/Rossi PX 12 Axial

Forget Salomon if they have adjustable toewings.

I haven't skied the Tyrolias, but I did buy a pair of Mojo 15 (very similar to the FF 17, other than DIN) for my Praxis Powders. <$100 on eBay. Tyrolia seems to be the most underpriced binding around.

Sorry I spaced! : You are right I put MOJO 15's on my Monster's & I would suggest the Mojo for the Snoop. The FF + is more of a race binding particularly with 21MM of riser.

i meant to suggest the Tyrolia MOJO 15 for the Snoops not the Tyrolia Freeflex!

the other advantage of the MOJO is it is low and the toe and heel are completely separate.

FWIW, this particular skier will bever have the binding above 6.5-7.

Thanks for all your help, everyone! I really appreciate it.

In that case, a Mojo 11 might be an even more cost-effective option. Al's has them for $100. Evogear had them for $70 for a long time, but that time appears to have passed.

I'd definetly check out the MOJO 11!

NOOOO!!! Not the Mojo 11. That's a kid's binding. Don't get it!

It seems to be more plasticy than the 15.
It is. It used the LD (or SLD?) toepiece. But I've known 200+ pounders who've used them without a problem.

They would work but I still prefer Cubco. I'm not sure what the din range is.

I would suggest against the Mojo 11. It uses the SL heel and toe piece, both of which are pretty plasticy. That's not to say they'll definitely break or anything, but you're giving up a lot of durability/quality for not a huge price difference. If you want to save a bit of money, look into the FreeFlex+ 14. It's got the LD toe and heel pieces, which are almost as solid as that of the Mojo 15/FF17. The FreeFlex isn't going to be an impediment, and unless you're really picky about stand height, I don't see it being a big problem.

912s Ti works for me, kind of like the Air Bags in my Truck, As long as they work am fine with them.

I mounted two pairs of Mojo 11's today & "plasticy" is an understatement!
