People Leaving EPIC - Why? - Page 3

Tsk tsk tsk. Having a laugh at Bushwackers expense.
What is this place coming to?

Kid goes from PA to Utah, certifies as a level II and has well over 100 days of skiing this past year.

Hmmm, I guess he can afford a little abuse.
Oh yeah, TOP OF PAGE

I thought you went away in a huff.

Now that we've got everyone here. Somebody close the door so they can't leave!

aaah, now it's all clear.

For all the people that were at the very first gathering for Epic Ski at Lake Tahoe in 2000, there is only me, Pierre, Tag and Powdigger that still remain somewhat active anymore. AC chimes in once in a great while I guess but can't call him active. Ryel still posts some doesn't he?

Lots of people have left for various reasons. I bet some still lurk about but don't post. I remember back when there were only a hundred of us. It was more close knit and personal. I don't think anyone ever got excited too much. Things change. Ain't no big deal.

How did Lucky get a join date before me anyhow?
Because that's when I joined. Original # was 52.

Summer is just a slow time. I really have not posted in a while, just other stuff to do.

Why

Nice to see the names back, even though I don't know you I can still appreciate the first group etc.

Yep its summer, went smallmouth fishing on Couer d alene Lake this AM, found the fish at 55 feet, really hard to catch at that depth. Caught 6 small smallies (sic) and one big ass sucker - ugh.

It's unfortunate, but I've gotta agree. When I first came to this site, there were probably 12-15 different forums. Today, I counted 35! I'll check in from now to then, but IMO, the value of epicski is no longer what it used to be.

All of the join dates are not always accurate. I was assigned a new date after a crash left me locked out (or banned??) for a few months. I think my original number was 138 or 168??

Skier_j should know. He's married to the Grand Poo.
Does that mean the "going" is getting better, Bonni?
And we, the unwashed, the unworthy, please to be thanking you for allowing us to be graced by the shade of your royal shadows.

We are unworthy.

Tater. The Grand Poobah of Posting. We bow to your magnificence.
Piss off, you lot.

I suppose now I'll be known as 'Tater', eh, GarryZ? Me an my big mouth.

I haven't felt like posting lately, I've been feeling so lousy. I've had a couple days of feeling 'normal' this week....and haven't felt this good in MONTHS. Too bad it's because I'm on steroids.

You caught Bush?
The Big Assed Sucker (Catostomidae Monicus Lewinsis), commonly found in and near the Patomic River. They range as far as northern Minnesota where during the spring run they are commonly netted or speared and then smoked.

Got one in Idaho hey? Waddija do with it?

NO I caught a sucker fish and then Yuki to answer your inquiry - I threw it into a bush on the bank so it would not reproduce and ruin the N. Idaho gene pool. Fishing is hard in N. Idaho when you catch suckers and look for a bush to discard the degenerate chromozones. Oh well someone has to do it. The fishing was so bad yesterday I played golf today and hit a 200 yard drive into the bushes. Oh well sometimes you just can't win.

Yep, I remember the great crash of July 2002 like it was yesterday. Why do you think you and I both have the same join date?
