Weeee have a winnuh!!!!!!!!
It was 21 March, 1970, in Oberstdorf, West Germany, at the International Ski Flying Championships. On his third jump, he tumbled and became forever (damn long time, eh?) synonymous with "The Agony of Defeat."
He suffered "only" a concussion and jumped the next year but never with the same abandon. Today he lives in Lesce, Yugoslavia, with wife and two daughters.
He still jumps in senior competitions and was the first coach of the 1991 world champion, Franci Petek.
