Today marked the end of LGC. We had a small group out at Loveland today and had some good snow along with some cold and lots of wind. Fun none the less!

I would like to thank Jim for his organization efforts this season. It's not an easy job to pull and hold this thing together. A big "hat tip" goes off to him.

I'd like to thank the guides (who each made it out one day, Icanseefor milesandmiles, Rick (Fastman), Bong and SugarCube. Yep.....my terrific wife was promoted to guide status for the "all K2 chick group". GO NANC.

Most of all I'd like to thank those who came out. Without all of you, it would have been "just another ski day".

Enjoy the rest of the season if you aren't done yet, or have a good summer if that's what applies.

Camera shy were Faisal (he's always on the other side of the camera anyway) Steve Smith 7 and NomadPat.

Looks like I missed another good time.

I would like to personally Thank everyone that came out, helped guide and played on this thread.

I met many new people and renewed friendhships from seasons past. I'm a richer person for it.

I would like to make a special mention of Mr Vertical, Uncle Louie, Sugarcube, DonDenver, Bong, spdskier, Madmike and anyone I forgot for making enough discount Tix available for anyone that needed them.

Another hat's off to the same clan and Rick for patiently guiding people around unfamiliar terrain and making them comfortable.

More thanks to Rick for trying to help get the Nastar thing going at Breck, but both days we had scheduled to try this were POWDER days:

As a matter of fact, It was a POWDER trip and conditions were fantastic

Thanks again to all who played in any capacity and hope to see you on the hill next season.

Me too (and my hubby)! I just read UL's post about ending LGC...very disappointing. Glad I was able to attend one day. I had a great experience and our group had a fantastic guide (Sugar Cube)!

I have to say that I admired the focus on safety though and wouldn't have hesitated to go to another gathering because of that focus and the general welcoming atmosphere. The one day was a blast!!! So, again, Jgiddyup, Sugar Cube, UL and all of the other folks I met, it was great! Hope I get to hang out with you again some time!

Bummer. Just read about the LGC events. Just as Ashley and I are moving out there too; crap! At least we got to meet some awesome people and be a part of the final LGC. For some reason, I have no doubt that finding bears to ski with in Colorado after we get there won't be too hard.

It appears that it will not be LGC as we know it, but I prefer to think of it as the seed for amazing Bear GTG's for many years to come.

Better hurry if you're gonna hike. We are melting fast this week.....flood warnings in effect :. It pains me to see my mtn turning brown, but at least it was an awesome season.
