Best places in the East to ski fast - Page 2

I'll actually mention Gore midweek because most of the really good options have been pointed out already and Gore midweek can be like a ghost town, especially if its "cold" and people are being wusses. The most important factor in skiing fast on a public run is no one else being there. Freeski on some SG boards.

Honestly I can't get my heart into skiing real fast on groomers in the East anymore. Too damn risky. Fences are an absolute must.

Red Mountain BC. You're feeling pretty cocky letting them run when a patrol books by you on the longest boards you've ever seen.

I will toss the disclaimer out there that skiing "fast" on the weekends and crowded days is irresponsible and as well you might feel you are under control there are people that can (and will) make course corrections that even a the most experienced skier could not anticipate.
Killington also has to many people

While my eastern skiing experience is limited, I'll also say Cupp run at Snowshoe is a great one for letting it rip. Mid-week you can fly until lunchtime and never see more than 20 people on the trail total. For those familiar with Breck it's much like cimmaron but not as wide.
