Baja THIS is a time waster! - Page 2

WARNING: spoiler only if you want it

Don't keep reading if you don't want to know the secret ending to the new Harry Potter book.... err.... the secret solution to this game.

But if you've hit the wall, are pulling your hair out, have not slept since trekchick posted this %^&$#% link.... maybe just want a single clue to get past one deadend (which is what I finally resorted to on one level)...

This gaming site contains the passcodes to return to any given level, and the walkthrough to navigate each level.

I'll go back to that level and see if I can remember how I did it.

OK... this is a pretty easy level. They get much harder the closer you get to 30.

So... all you have to do:

You're starting on the left side, you have to make your way over to the X on the lower right side first, without hitting any of the buttons. (this will make the second X on the other side accessible) Then, you have to make your way back to the lower left side to the second X, (which makes the hole accessible) then you can go for the hole.

Finding your way back and forth across the board requires you to shift your rectangular block around by using the bigger square areas of 9 spaces. (Like the Brady Bunch opening screen. ) Whenever you see those 9-space squares, it's likely that you'll need them to "shift" your block around to tip and roll in the correct pattern. e.g. -- roll the block to one of the corners, stand it up on the adjacent corner, tip it down the other way, roll over twice to the opposite corner, etc. This will shift the position of the block.

Many of the levels above this one are going to require some very roundabout travels, sometimes traversing the board back and forth several times, rather than just trying to go for the shortest route you can find.

Good luck!

or, in step-by-step shorthand....

Stage 22:
To activate right X switch:
R,R,U,Rx3,D,R,R,Dx3,L,D
To activate left X switch:
U,R,Ux3,L,U,R,D,L,U,L,U,L,L
D,Lx3,D,R,U,R,D,L,Dx3,R,D
To exit:
U,L,Ux3,R,U,L,D,R,U,R,U,Rx3,D,Rx4,U

Well, that takes all the challenge (and hence, purpose) out of it.

How are we supposed to waste our time properly if we have step-by-step instructions for the whole thing?

For those with problems. http://jayisgames.com/archives/2007/06/bloxorz.php

Code for 22 -- 987319

NEVERMIND. Just saw it above.

that's why I prefaced with warning, which I'll repeat:

ONLY to be used when player has decided things are truly hopeless, and it's either break open the envelope with secret code... or break open the cyanide capsule! :

btw, your more generic tips ("Brady Bunch screen") were right on.... using those big 9-block meadows to roll around is key.

If you want one that makes you jump, try this game: Missle Tube. Cannot play it without a little body english going on - like that makes any difference to the computer! Game created by the same guy that created the Blox game.

Just curious...

Has anyone else here completed Bloxorz without any assistance or sneak-peeking?

Work has gotten in my way. I got stuck on 28 and set it aside.
I'm hoping to get back to it this weekend.
The problem is that its addicting. I just can't stop once I start.

And Tag, I'm not even thinking about starting the link you put up until I have a real chill moment in my business, which may be a while.

I got back on track Saturday afternoon and finally figured out Stage 28. I guess I just needed a fresh mind.

Any way.... I got done will all stages before I went to bed Saturday night.
When work slows down, I'll try Tag's link.............maybe...............If I feel like torturing myself.:

Finally!

Well, had to put this away for quite a while, but finally got back to finish the last three levels. Funny how once you see the route how "obvious" it was all along

Ya know, I had blissfully forgotten about this insanity.

I still have my passwords written down for the first 23 levels, so I guess I gave up at level 24. Might have to start revisiting this!

Thanks... :

Got invested and couldn't leave it alone until I finished.

Sooo . . . Is this really a psych experiment to see how many of us have obsessive/compulsive personality disorder?
