In hindsight, it seemed a bit odd that a guy without a matched set of operational skis would find your quiver lacking. I'm not sure you will like telemark, but probably you will. You don't need more gear, just remove the heel bindings from one of your existing sets.
Backpedaling furiously. Unless you are not falling enough, or not skiing slow enough or not working hard enough, freeing the heel might be fixing what ain't broke.
I am, however anxious to see how you like your new skis. You have to report back on that!!!
As for trying Tele..........I tend to be someone who likes to give things a whirl. You don't know if you'll like something if you don't give it a try.
I checked it out. Crystal Mountain has tele rentals, and I'm going to look into setting up a lesson some time.
I'll let you know how that goes.
I have a pair of snoops that aren't mounted..........shall I put tele bindings on them? ...........if this works out
