Of course I do! Can I? No But thanks for asking. Have fun

Yes I do, unfortunatly I'll be doing it in washington, but the flip side is I get to by pass the bushwack and hike and just go straight for the skins.

....and for me, I'll just bypass the bushwhacking and hiking and do it the lazy guy's way: ride the lifts. But after June 17th, my winter season's pass will be done, and I guess I'll have to resort to 4x4ing up to the snowfields.

Beric, so Blackcomb is still open, I thought it closed June 2nd. Was just up there for a couple of days with my son near the end of May, last week or so, god how I love Whistler on a beautiful day, and no lines. life is good!

I want to clarify the "bushwhacking" part.

We'll be following a very good hiking trail most of the way, followed by a little boulder-scramble. To me, real bushwhacking means fighting your way through trees and brush that grabs the skis on your pack and scrapes up your arms and legs. We won't be doing any of that.

Poor choice of words on my part.

I was just trying to set low expectations - and then over-deliver.

Having done this in the past, it's hiking in an open forest, without an established trail. Very park like. The hardest part is rock-hopping the small creeks and springs above the lake, oh and the rock scrable (which is kinda fun)...

The skiing is open to anyone who wants to attend.

More the merrier. I think our biggest count back in my SLC days was 18.

I have a feeling that by this Saturday it will be way WORSE than hoped for.

I've skied early summer a couple of times after big dumps and it really sucked. Thick, heavy, gloppy junk.

I don't suppose you could arrange for the storm to continue through Friday night, could you?

the storm snow is nearly 100 percent satruted withwater and it will be warm enough friday to colisondate then freezing over night turning it to corn on saturday. and plus with this much new snow, skining from BCC road will be a viable option for those who have the stuff making approach times WAY shorter.

Skining beats boot packing anyday.

with the amount of wet heavy snow we have been getting, we are going to be able to skin from the road. 2 feet is not out of the question here......
