Orange is in. The trick is to get the skis, bindings, boots, pants, jacket, gloves & helmet to coordinate:

well, it sticks out of low-visibility settings, which is the goal.

the picture doesn't do justice to the considerable glow factor, which is precisely what i wanted. this one has also come in very handy in the "wet snow" that whistler (and mammoth) can offer. also the one i'll take if i'm going someplace that may get truly cold (zero or below).

BY THE WAY, barrettcv, i am an unabashed, unapologetic color-coordinating type, always have been, just one of those things, i equate it to a kind of aesthetic symmetry (while being well aware many others have a different word for it, not that there's anything wrong with that.) might not always be all that bright but it'll match, so sue me.

anyway, that's a nice ensemble you have there. luckily, the skis are fine-looking on their own.

i happen to like that those oranges are in. for that matter, there's an epicbear from the PNW who has - or had recently - a lime-ish green-themed shell that i have to admit coveting when i saw it.

i like color but am generally muted day-to-day, so if i couldn't be a little festive on the mountain, i guess it'd be time to join the circus.

It has to do with your toilet training.

Ah, Freud is never out of place in any discussion about anything.
