Thanks so much for the tips. I will follow it! Is Dynaster/Rossi now really the same company..just a different top laminate?
I think you got good advice from Christer, but I go through this every year and so I wanted to give my perspective.
Last year, my son was an 11 year old 1st year J4. He is very good, qualifying for JO's in Steamboat and finishing top half in every race. He is very small, last year at about the same size as your child. 63lbs and just about 135 cm. Last year he raced 130 Rossignol SL and 145 Rossignol GS. He used 160 Rossi GS for his couple of Super G races and did great. Weight is the most important component along with how aggressive they ski. Your local race shop should have a chart of recommended weight for each brand and size of race ski.
Remember, development is most important at this stage. Go with 132 Rossignol or Dynastar and 140-145 GS.
