Yes, but "Wintergames Holdings SARL and an affiliate of Intrawest" is the exact wording on paperwork filed with the SEC. On Form-8k "Steamboat Acquisition Group" (Intrawest) was identified as the second party in the transaction. Structuring the deal as it was done earned it an early termination from the required DOJ HSR anti-trust review as reported in the US Federal Register (Vol72, No. 29, Feb 07).

Any knowledge of Wintergames Holdings SARL (Luxemburg) - who are they and what other snowsports properties they are involved with? Some shell of Fortress maybe, or is there really joint ownership of Steamboat?

Haven't got time to check it out but big companies have more shells than a beach in Maine which is where I am now. Even ASC had several shells and diferent holding companies involved with their ownership with Oak Hill. It's mostly about taxes.

When I worked at Sugarbush when it was ASC it was technically owned by LBO Holding Ltd. I think all the resorts were under that umbrella, can't remember exactly.

Back to the thread I have not heard that ASC wants to sell the Canyons as it was mentioned they would have to resolve the land dispute. Going by the many ownerships changes at several resorts nothing would surprise me.

Sorry for the hijack.

As far as a public statement of intent to explore options for TC ... no there has been nothing.

I'm sure it's being quietly explored as a "what if"- but if the courts rule in Wolf Mountain's favor, ASC has relatively little to sell.

Thanks for all the responses.

It sounds like nothing may happen for awhile or there are too many variables to really get a grasp on what is going on.
