Thread Starter
im a 14 year old girl and i have been racing for 4 years. im 5'4" and weigh 135 lbs. i have raced SG, and im not afraid to go fast. i used a pair of atomic 9.20, 180 cm w/dampening plates. I have raced DH before as a select J3 but i used my SG skis, i found they were having problems handeling the terrain. i need some help finding the right length for a pair of DH skis. <FONT size="1">

Afraid you'll have to say more about yourself. Age, sex, point profile and race backgound, etc. In general, a 195 for DH would work for a 120-130 pound J2 female who really liked to go fast. Slightly smaller guys would use same length. Have you run Super G before? What did you use? Do the skis have dampening plates?

Keep things small. When I was recing FIS two years ago I was looking a 205-208 SG and 212 DH.and I'm 6' 180lbs. You don't sound like you are very big, and though you might be aggressive ( you didn't say)you aren't going to be able to turn a huge ski. I say to stay around 190. 195 is pushing it a bit. A first gerneration GS ski would do you nicely. Hope this helps

hopefully ed will be back. sounds like 195's might be good. In the future instead of going back and editing to add info just post it. It makes it much easier to read.
