Had an unexpected busines trip to Colorado that allowed me to tag on 3 days of skiing at Vail. The lower mountain is looking pretty sad but mid mountain up and the back still good. It snowed 4 inches Thursday and that helped improve things. I skied for 3 days from opening till about 3 PM, and I think I only shared a chair about 5 times. The place was empty. I was able to make fresh tracks a couple of hours the morning after it snowed. I skied for $20 a day , receiving the season pass from another area discount. Can't beat that. My last day a piloy buying his next year's Colorado Pass, wanted to give me a couple of tickets he wasn't goint to use. I told him to walk down Bridge Street and hand them out to somebody walking up and make their day. I already had my ticket.

I had to lay over another day so I could get next year's Colorado Card which they would only sell to first time buyer's Friday- Sunday. But that's a done deal for next year, with free skiing in April on the card. It was an odd ski season for me. I think I logged more days in April than maybe January. Didn't screw with my boots anymore on this trip. Heel pockets despite all the dremmeling still giving me a pump bump on the side of my heel. I think its a pronation thing. Gives me something to obsess about next season.
