Well, I suppose it's appropriate to reply to this (AC - please delete if not). I run the AlpineZone Forums:

We focus strictly on the Northeast and New England so it's a bit different than some of the non-regional forums like Epic. We also have a Hiking forum which sees activity year-round and I also host the forum for the Flags on the 48 event. FOT48 is an annual September 11 memorial hike to raise the American Flag on all 48 New Hampshire 4000'ers.

The hiking board has been somewhat active since its inception, but the Skiing forum has really taken off this season. It's really the only true Northeast-specific skiing message board. If you're a Northeast skier, you should definitely have a look.
Alpinezone is great! Its relatively flame and troll free, without being a sugar coated flame fest! I'd love to see a group of Bears participate in Flags on the 48!

In addition to Epic, Alpine Zone is a great place to discuss skiing in the North East, particularly, New England. It doesn't have the same flavor as this site, but there is some good information on it's targeted geographic area. The people at Alpine Zone are more mature than some of the members of other local NE forums and there isn't much if any flaming that goes on there. It is a well run forum.

A new fledgling skiing forum has just been born

http://snowheads.com/

Came about out of the decision by the Ski Club of Great Britain to restrict access of forum to members only (which I am one, but unfortunately many useful contributers are not), so a member (or two?) decided to set up a new and shiny open alternative.
Not quite (or at all) the mine of info epicski is, but a kind of generally friendly place for skiing mad brits (and anyone else ) to get together.
You might find it useful for advice if you're thinking of heading for a trip this side of the pond.

</font>
My, the superior position of Epictry entitles you to be hypocritical? Begone, growling Missoulite.

Face it, and quickly: the HTT attitude at Pouter and among some who've ventured here is NO DIFFERENT than that same thing you've quoted above, gonz. Pot-Kettle-Black, classically.

Please return to your regularly scheduled hypocrisy. Thank you.
